Apparently it doesn't work for Windows 10 and possibly for Windows 8 from what I have read. The error on boot says a file is missing and the drive is locked.Interesting.How are you doing the cloning, and with what software?I don't have a Windows 10 install, but Windows 8.1 clones successfully using Macrium Reflect Free booting from a WinPE USB flash drive. The Windows 10 clone created with EZ Gig IV and the USB SATA Wire 2.5' adapter isn't going well at all. The problem seems to be something to do with the EFI boot loader.whatever that is.I use MRF and direct SATA connections on my desktop; I've done USB cloning with a laptop, but not as often.

It's a lot slower.I read about booting from a flash drive. I just wanted to move Windows 10 from the WD hard drive to an OCZ SSD without having to start with a clean install.Macrium can create its own rescue USB flash drive from its Windows 8.1 install on the desktop's hard drive.I have given up for the time being.I understand; dealing with PC problems can be tiring and frustrating. Best of luck when you try again sometime.

I converted to Windows 10 and discovered that my hard drive cloning software did not work. Since I have Seagate(R) hard drives I checked with Seagate and found that, as of this writing, the current version of their DiscWizard(R) product is 16. Source:.Seagate states that DiscWizard version 18 supports Windows 10. Additionally, as of this writing, version 18 is not available.Question: Does anyone know of hard drive cloning and maintenance products that support Windows 10 and would work on Seagate drives?
